In this tab page of the Auto DJ dialog you define the Auto DJ mode. Select Auto DJ Mode Database Shuffle Direct Play
Based on criteria specified by the user, the AlbumPlayer randomly
adds albums or tracks from your entire database to the playlist. Settings
and the criteria are defined in two tab pages: Auto DJ tab: Database
Shuffle and Auto DJ
tab: Database Shuffle Filter.
In this mode the
AlbumPlayer adds tracks automatically from the active collection in the
album grid in sequential order. The next track to play is the next track in the
currently playing album, or when album ends, first track of the next album in
collection. The Direct Play mode can be compared for example with the way
a car audio player works or a handheld mp3 player. When the player is switched
on, a playlist is not required it just plays from the available albums in
sequential order starting from the point it was switched off last time. To
achieve this behavior as close as possible, at least the playlist should be
automatically saved at AlbumPlayer shutdown. You can do this in the General 2 page of the
preferences dialog. It is also a good idea (but not necessary) to combine
the Direct Play mode with playlist settings Auto Remove Track after
Playing and Auto Remove Track
on Skip.
