The AlbumPlayer supports CD-extraction. This function can be started
by choosing Extract CD
from the Settings/Database menu.
The
following dialog comes up
The dialog
contains the following sections: Encoding Bitrate Start Extracting Besides extracting through the extract dialog, there is
also a process through
the album editor. When an
audio CD is inserted in the CD drive, it is detected by the
AlbumPlayer and the CD is added to the database if not already in. To
extract the CD, choose Edit in the album info panel to open the Album editor. In the track list of
the Album editor the tracks are shown which are on the CD having a
.cda file extension. Below the track list there is a Extract CD Tracks
button which opens the Encoding Settings dialog for the
target files to write on disk.
Contains drop down
list with encoding formats. Some formats are working immediatly after
AlbumPlayer install, but other formats needs to have a (freeware) encoding
executable placed in the AlbumPlayer installation folder. The following encoding
algorithms are supported:
mp3 / .mp3 (average bit rate) / .mp3 (variable bit rate) .
Needs to install
lame.exe
The field
either contains a drop down list with bit-rates or quality
levels in case of variable bit rates.
This
button starts the extraction process of the tracks. Important: The files
are extracted to the folder specified in the preferences page: Extract Location
