The AlbumPlayer always uses a playlist to play from. The
playlist normally is playing in sequentially order, but you
can also choose to play it in random order (see Playlist Shuffle). An
other feature that can interrupt the normal playing sequence (and random
sequence), is the play next queue. The play next queue is an internal list which
contains tracks that are forced to play next. You recognize queued tracks when
the tracks are preceded with a number in brackets, like the
follwing [1], [2], etc. If a track is marked with [R] then it means
that after the queue is empty. See here below an example of a playlist with two
tracks queued to play next and one return track. You can use drag and drop to insert albums and tracks to the
playlist. Another method is to use buttons to add or play albums and
tracks. These buttons are available in the album info (booklet)
and filter
results. The following three buttons (or menu items in right click menu's)
are available. The last two, Play and Play Next are also available from
the right click menu of the playlist. Using the Auto DJ function you can let the AlbumPlayer add tracks from the
database based on user criteria. See Auto DJ (Database Shuffle / Direct
Play). To add tracks from outside the AlbumPlayer database use the following
functions from the playlist options menu: If you have built a playlist you can save it to the album player database to
be able to load it later again. You can also import/export external
playlists. See also Save/load
playlists.
