The Song Request Manager is a very interesting part from
the AlbumPlayer in combination with one or more Mobile Devices like an
iPhone, iPod or iPad (Connecting mobile devices see Tunes Remote
Introduction). On your mobile device you can add songs to your "My Requests"
playlist. The song Request Manager contains a rotating list adding songs
from a request list to the AlbumPlayer playlist. When a song is picked
from a request list it puts this list back at the end of the queue so next
song will be taken from the next request list. Besides the mobile device request
lists, the AlbumPlayer also contains its own request list. This local AlbumPlayer
request list can only be filled in Party Mode, when the "Playlist editing:" in
the Party mode page of the
preferences is set to "Only track additions to request list". The AlbumPlayer will get songs from the request lists as
soon as it reaches the end of playlist. When no song requests are left, the Song
Request Manager will start to pick songs from the Auto DJ when Auto DJ
is enabled. If you like the Auto DJ can even be added to the rotating
list of the Song
Request Manager. Rotation
List
The Rotation List contains all request lists, when the
option is set is also the Auto DJ is treated as a request list. When the
last song in the AlbumPlayer playlist is almost finished, a song is added
from the first request list in the rotation list. After that, the request list
is put at the back of the rotation
list. Request List
Options
Number of upcoming songs
(including Auto DJ) to preview in Playlist Delete request lists at
startup Make Auto DJ part of the
Rotation List
Specify how many
upcoming songs to be previewed in the AlbumPlayer playlist. Each upcoming
song is marked with [Q]. The list of [Q] marked songs is a
prediction, when request list or Auto DJ settings change, the list is
updated.
When this option set all request lists are deleted.
When a mobile device makes contact after this, the request list is added again.
The local AlbumPlayer request list is never deleted, but it is cleared when this
option is
set.
When this option is set the Auto DJ will be part of
the Rotation List. This means that each cycle through the request lists also
pick a song from the Auto DJ. When this option is not set, Auto DJ songs are
added only when no songs left in the request
lists.
